crystalline and complex bouquet with lovely ripe and intense fruit aromas and more flinty-mineral notes than the regular Spätlese

Not showing quite as well as it did at a château vertical last year

followed by hints of allspice

while in the nose it reserves pleasant fruity aromas with hints of blueberries

Lifted and earthy with brooding spice notes, it does recall a bit of the spiciness of Bussia (source of the grapes, apparently, but not confirmed). Minerally too. Laser sharp focus on the palate. Not enormously concentrated but elegant and fragrant and with a layer of very fine tannins.
