I dont think its power level will be high enough to be a good sideboard card to reliably take down Four-Color Saheeli, but its still a fine card to have in the matchup with stronger pieces built around it
But the Whelp is one of a handful of Laccolith buddies from Nemesis that I always felt sort of enabled the creature control of that set
